I'm interested in just about everything...but my main focus is writing (Irish historical fiction mostly). I have played piano forever, now I'm into composing and orchestrating arrangements using various software. I also love computer graphics...have much to learn there though. I am a nationally ranked fencer in Canada (the sabre kind - not the white picket fence type) and I LOVE scuba diving. But my absolute favorite activity of all is exploring life with my wife, Lanie , who shares my penchant for all things artistic. I am also a history buff (particularly anything to do with Ireland, the Napoleonic era, or the Dark Ages). I am also an incurable romantic...just check with my better half.

Movies:

I like all kinds of movies...as long as they're good. I lean towards historical drama though I think. I'm a sucker for movies like Braveheart, Pride and Prejudice, Waterloo. But if I had to pick one, I'd have to say that Franco Zefferelli's production of "Romeo and Juliet" would have to be it....on the other hand, "Somewhere in Time" had a certain charm - you see the problem LOL

Music:

My tastes in music are likewise very ecclectic...I'll listen to hip hop one minute, and classical piano the next. Also enjoy traditional Celtic/Irish (especially the rebel songs lol) and some Goth like "Stand My Ground" by Within Temptation.

Without question, "Captains and the Kings" by Taylor Caldwell, "The Day of the Jackal" by Frederic Forsythe", and "Shogun" by James Clavell
