About Me:

My name is Alyssa and I am 16 years old. Animals are my true passion and all I want to do is make a difference for them. My dream is to start a huge rescue saving exotic and domestic animals. I spend alot of time researching animals and learning more about them and current animal rights issues. I think I am meant to do a lot and I am not your average kid.
I was at the zoo a couple summers ago and I saw the amur leopard scared, pacing and stressed in this tiny cage. It broke my heart. Then he came over to the glass where I was standing. He jumped up gently to my height and looked me staight in the eyes like he wanted me to save him and give him back his freedom. Then he continued pacing back and forth. When he came to me, he would stop look at me then turn around again. As long as I can remember I loved animals but this is what really inspired me. Everyday that I learn more I get even more inspired. I spend most of my time training and playing with my dog Maya.
