Be there for the most historic moment in Australian television since Aunty Jack introduced us to colour in the 1970s, the launch of Australias freshest and most exciting new television channel, ABC3.

ABC3 is a new world for kids. Its on digital tv and online. Its TV that speaks to kids. Its all about funand on December 4th its all about celebrating new beginnings with an hour-long special presentation broadcast live from the ABC studios in Sydney.

Featuring a live studio audience of the luckiest kids in Australia, Countdown To 3 will be a showcase of the best the channel has to offer. Hosts Kayne Tremills and Amberley Lobo from Studio 3 will introduce us to this brand new channel with live performances and interviews which will usher in a new era of television in Australia.

The freshest and most exciting talent in Australia will join the new Faces of 3 on stage in an event not to be missed. Performances include a dance explosion from the cast of Dance Academy, premiering on ABC3 early next year. Scotty Tweedie from Prank Patrol will be there, and if he brings his ninjas you can guarantee there will be more than chaos flying around the studio! Hex from Good Game SP will be on hand to talk all things Gaming, while Hannah Wang from Rush TV will be bringing in the best BMX stunt riders in Australia to show us what they can do.

Countdown To 3 will also feature musical performances by Cassie Davis, Short Stack and CJ the DJ, premiering on ABC3 later that night. The most important job of the night however is to switch on ABC3... and who better to press GO than the Prime Minister of Australia, Mr Kevin Rudd. (less info)
