compairing nas and lil wayne is like compairing 'crime and punishment' with harry potter. more people will like potter because its simple and easy to read, everyone can read it. crime and punishment actually demands some intelect from the reader and therefore will always have a smaller audience. people who know hip hop will love nas, white rich kids with wealthy parents who watch mtv and only heard of hip hop few years ago will think that lil wayne is the best cause they dont know better.
