....I don't hear anything that sounds like it's a "not very effective" sound.
If anything, it is more likely to be the attack's sound.
There's also the possibility that they changed the sound for the "super effective" hit, normal damage hit, and the "not very effective" hit.

I don't know much about the first song, but I know the first song is "Awaken", while the second song is titled "Supernova" by Tetra-Fang. Hence "Awaken the Supernova".
