http://azizfounda... An exclusive and shocking investigation into the case of former Guantanamo prisoner sheds now light on the bewildering case of Dr Aafiya Siddiqui (detainee 650) a mother-of-three who mysteriously disappeared with her children six years ago. only to be found later in US custody in a frail. limp, exhausted, wheelchair bound state. http://azizfounda... Her lawyers explained the condition of Dr Aafiya Siddiqui (detainee 650):
She has brain damage following her time in US Custody!
She had One of her kidneys was removed while in US Custody!
She is unable to digest her food since part of her intestines was removed during surgery while in US Custody! http://azizfounda... She has layers of sewn-up skin from the surgery for a gunshot. She did not have this wound before being found in US Custody!
She has a large surgical scar from her chest all the way down to her torso, which she did not have before being in US Custody!
In this compelling documentary 'The Disappearance of Dr Aafia Siddique' (detainee 650), an investigation was launched by journalist Yvonne Ridely into the intriguing case of a women prisoner held in Bagram detention center, Afghanistan/ http://azizfounda... They start their investigation in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, moving onto the UK and finally Pakistan and Afghanistan to discover the truth regarding Dr Aafiya Siddiqui (detained 650). This journey proved to be near fatal for Yvonne, and the team. http://azizfounda... As Yvonne Ridley said: "During the making of this documentary film-maker Hassan al Banna Ghani and myself took numerous risks including a hazardous drive through Taliban-controlled country on our way to Ghazni. We got caught up in crossfire between Taliban fighters and Afghan police, and the camera never stopped rolling. It was a hair-raising experience which took us right to the gates of Bagram. We accrued some powerfull evidence and statements during the journey which frankly puts a huge question mark over the official US version of the Dr Aafiya Siddiqui story. And now Binyam's own statement makes it increasingly difficult for the US to continue to deny Dr Aafiya was held in Bagram".
