Available for gigs around the world
During his studies at the "Swiss Jazz School" in Bern, Switzerland, Patrick Enz founded back in 1994 his own Band, the PAT ENZ TRIO.
Playing in a trio situation is one of the most challenging formations, since it requires from each player a maximum of musical input. This is the reason why every of the musicians must have developed great skills on his/her instrument as well as a lot of endurance in order to maintain the level of performance.
In the very first edition of the band there was Andy David on the drums, a musician which he met during his studies in Los Angeles, and on Bass there was Markus Fischer, a very accomplished Player from Olten, Switzerland. The band made extensive touring all over Switzerland.
After changing the lineup in 1997, there are now Abraham Stalder on Drums and Jorgos Antoniou on Bass. Both of them are graduates from the "Swiss Jazz School" which by itself is already a warranty of good musicianship and accomplishment.
Ever since, the PAT ENZ TRIO has been doing a lot of gigs in the Club scene, but wants to be open for other occasions and venues as well.
Although the PAT ENZ TRIO's musical fundament is derived mainly from the Mainstream Hardbop idiom, the Band has tried to incorporate other influences as well. This can be heard i.e. in a funky interpretation of a song called "Dig" by Miles Davis as well as a openly played "A child is Born", one of the most beautiful peaces written by the great composer and arranger Thad Jones.
