Awesome and breathtaking, just like her voice.From the beginning I knew that were something very special about her and her sweet face. My senior class song (1972) was "Close to You". I got to see the The Carpenters at Pine Knob in Michigan in 1973. Like everyone you love, including our "stranger" friend Karen, left an empty space in my body. Her voice was divine, yet she was so humble. We lost the best in the world, when we lost Karen Carpenter. Thank you for sharing your love for the Carpenters. God bless Richard, and I know Karen and her band of angels, are watching down on us.
