I think you should try Resonance Of Fate by Tri-Ace. After listening to your audio review of Ar Tonelico 2 I think this just might be the type RPG you like.

Whenever you have time, you might want to check out Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow on the Game Boy Advance, it's another metroidvania, but I can assure you its just as good or even better than Symphony of the Night.

i know your more of an anime person and I love your commentary i suggest doing an lp of ffvii or the sims 1. I know those are horrible suggestions but you can just keep them in the back of your mind...
