They are not really my cup of tea. Mobs of screaming uneducated men do not provide a good conduit for enlightening people. On the contrary, they only serve to alienate or even scare people. The impact of a message depends on how well you convey it. Tapping people on the shoulder is not enough these days; but herds of bellowing men are not the way to go either. The EDL tries to portray itself as being a healthy mix of men and women, black and white, rich and poor, but this is bullshit. It's most white working class males who can't string a sentence together even on a good day.
