About Me:
The Gompa is the home center for Li family internal martial and healing arts. The director is John P. Painter Ph.D. ND. John P. Painter is a life long student of Chinese internal martial arts, healing and philosophy. His main interests are Tibetan meditation from the Bon and Dzogchen traditions, Baguazhang, Xingyiquan and Taijiquan from the Li family of Szechuan province.
Dr. Painter has been teaching Li family Chinese and Tibetan methods of mind, body, and spirit development for over 30+ years at The Gompa in Arlington Texas and in a network of satellite schools around the world.
Dr. Painter's PhD studies were in Naturopathic Medicine specializing in Tibetan and Chinese Traditional medicines, acupuncture, Chinese massage and herbology. He is also a Captain with the American Rangers Law Enforcement Training Institute teaching LEO trainers' defensive tactics ranging from hand to hand combat, edged weapons, handguns and automatic weapons.

The Gompa offers local students weekly classes in Li family methods, there are also Bed and Breakfast intensive programs for out of town students training in the "old traditions" supported by modern scientific explanations of the bio-mechanics of internal and external power development.

Thanks for the comments I am glad you liked the video. I doubt seriously if your teacher was taught by my teacher Li, Long-dao there are many pople named Li and Lee in China. Li, Long-dao only taught me and Robert Kohen and Steven Paines. We were the only students of his outside of his family and he only taught students in his home in Texas after coming from Sichuan China.
