This channel is designed to showcase my natural hair journey. I love finding the channels of YouTube naturals because I love watching natural hair videos. Love it. Keep 'em coming.

About Me:
Until then. . .
Peace & Blessings
I transitioned 8 months from a relaxer. I did the Big Chop on June 11, 2007 after being a YouTuber for only 6 days! I was inspired.
I had about 4-5 inches of new growth. I did the chopping and my supportive husband dusted the ends to shape it up. It was
L-O-V-E. A couple of weeks later, I let my cousin, "the front porch barber", give me a "trim" at the family reunion. I'll be dang if he didn't give me a Big Chop! I really wasn't upset; it's just that I had grown my hair out for 8 months because I didn't want to wear a twa. It was the shortest my hair has even been. I loved it. It was at that moment that I truly embraced: " It's only hair". I never knew my bone structure was so strong. I received the most compliments about bone structure. Chile, it's that Indian in my family.
Having worn relaxed hair for years and years, I do NOT hold a grudge against anyone who wants to wear a relaxer. I'm quite sure that I will never relax again but it's all about personal choices and what makes a person happy.
My Best Hair Advice:
One should not wear a relaxer to conform when they really want to rock natural hair; nor should one go natural just because it's "trendy". Being natural was freedom for me. Freedom from being my stylist's chair every 2 weeks, freedom from the expense and freedom to work on creative ventures. Sometimes with relaxed hair, we want that "white girl hair"; you know, the kind that is flowing and seemingly stress free ; the kind TV commercials portray as "wash and go". Sure, I had flowing hair but it was listless. I did not experience complete hair utopia until I went natural. And if I want to, I can wash and go with my Afro Textured hair!!!
My Biggest Hot Topic Regarding Natural Hair Conversations with Relaxed:
"I just can't do it. You got "good hair". My hair is so nappy".
In my opinion, the nappier the hair, the better the twist out honey! It's all about finding the right products and proper moisturizing.
CONFESSION:
I am and probably always will be a Product Junkie!!! I love trying products. I was a relaxed hair PJ too. I've always purchased my own stuff and have the Amazon receipts to prove it. I became an even BIGGER PJ when I went natural. I bought everything I had heard about. Some worked and some didn't.
Nowadays, I gravitate towards natural regimens that incorporate using Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) or baking soda to cleanse my hair & scalp and moisturizing with natural oils such as Jojoba, Vegetable Glycerin & Ayurvedic products such as henna and amla powder.
I have started mixing my own concoctions but if I see something commercial that I want to buy & try, I do. What can I say, I'm a PJ!
My videos and blogs are about things that I have purchased and use. I document my honest experiences whether they are good or not so good. I want to be the Oprah of YouTube! LOL.
My blogs feature more about me and if you visit and click on the Google Ads, I could earn some money. Why wouldn't I monetize my blogs? I don't trick anyone into clicking ads. If its something youre interested in, youll click the ad; if not, you wont. Take that FTC!
I love vlogging and blogging!
I am always fascinated when I get new subscribers. It is very humbling.
