About Me:
I also play the violin as a hobby of mine; but once only every few months. When I do get a chance to play it, I don't spend hours on practicing because I don't care. I just want to play any song I like, decently and just have fun. If I want to be a perfectionist, I would've study to be a musician right out of high school. Why didn't I? I don't want to practice for hours almost everyday, because that would just ruin my passion for it. I enjoy violining for fun, not for torture on my fingers.
I never took violin/piano lessons. I started playing keyboard at home when I was 4 or so. My dad kind taught me here and there, but of course he was making it up as he go along. I learned to do the same so I began to self-teach myself soon after. In grade 6, I started taking strings class and never stopped till OAC(for those of u who don't know, OAC was another year you have to stay at school for, after grade 12 if you want to go to university. OAC no longer exists after 2003.)
I've always been a self-taught, playbyear kinda girlsince 4 years old. I didn't start to learn how to read music till I was in grade 6. In grade 7, I'd listen and learn the music to what the grade 8s were playing, and play along with them during performances (I wasn't supposed to, haha). In grade 10(junior orchestra), I got a chance to perform with the senior orcestra, and had a solo with them as well. During my last year of high school; I managed to semi-composed and arranged the music for the whole quartet(first violin, second violin, cello, bass), with me being first violin. The song was called "Variation of Chinese Oldies", a combination of 3 chinese songs. It was a 5-7 page music. I taught and made my quartet practiced like crazy with me to perform at our last spring concert before graduating high school. We did it with near perfection..lol.
After high school, the first violin I owned was a preowned one from a pawn shop. This can be seen in my first of many videos. I got my second violin, which is the crazy S shape blue electric violin in Feb 2007 as a birthday gift. The S shape is not meant to look like the dollar sign $ ...however, I do see why many people think so. S is actually for its brand; Stagg.
I went to Humber to study for business admin, and am now working at a marketing company, being a production coordinator of corporate sales.
