A sporadically updated mish mash of short films, philosophy and various other bits and pieces.
Name: David
Age: 25
Hmm. Its four in the morning and I'm being asked to describe myself. I think I had better leave that until the morning. Oh wait, this is morning isn't it? Right. Afternoon then. Which probably means sometime next week.
City: Edinburgh (Scotland)
Hometown: Lerwick, Shetland (Scotland)
Country: United Kingdom
Occupation: Director, Video Technician, Came...
Companies: DMT Productions
Interests and Hobbies: My passions can be summarised as the three 'F's. The prize of a small bag of liquorice allsorts will be awarded to the first person to correctly guess all three. (Natalie is barred from this- she already knows. and she doesn't like liquorice allsorts anyway, which is why I have chosen them as the prize)
Movies and Shows: City of God, LA Confidential, Chinatown, Brick, Jaws, Carlito's Way, Stand by Me, The Sting, Paths of Glory, Platoon, The Birds, North by Northwest, Rope, Battle of Britain, Shallow Grave, Trainspotting. I also watch The Simpsons (duh - of course) and CSI on TV. Still love to go back and watch Father Ted, Blackadder and the Fast Show too.
Music: I am into so many different types of music that it would be ridiculous to try to include everything here. Lets just say my regular playlists are a little mixed up. Favourite album has to be Play by Moby though. also like Razorlight, Daft Punk, Faithless, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Catatonia, Garbage, MJ's older stuff, like Thriller and Billie Jean, etc, Royksopp, Green Day, REM, The Cardigans, Kasabian, The Clash, Leftfield, The Who, The Fratellis, Mozart, The View (the view the view the view are on fire!), Pulp, Franz Ferdinand, The Skatalites, and last but certainly not least, Polymyth.
Books: Recently I've been on a learning spree, so its just been non-stop reading 'how to' books and user manuals (After Effects, Dreamweaver, MAYA), but when I get the chance to read a bit of prose, again my tastes are very varied. Kurt Vonnegut is probably my favourite at the moment (my mindset and therefore my favourites cycle). I used to read a lot of Terry Pratchett's books. not so much now though. I quite like Ian Rankin as a writer too. Reading George Orwell always gives me a perspective refresh, which is nice. My favourite book at the moment is Hunter Thomson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (I find it has an excellent re-readability and is also good to dip into for a page or two at times)
