hi.
I'm Jamie Simons.

This channel, in essence, is a never ending episode of "The Starving Artist"... which isn't an actual show, but would be a fitting title if my life was delivered to you in 30 minute, commercial interrupted segments.

I'm just a strikingly average, modestly awkward guy in his twenties trying to make a reasonable living as a musician in a world (and new internet music era) saturated with would-be singers belting last weeks top40 hit in hopes of being "discovered" when their cover video miraculously goes viral because they hit every high note of a Michael Jackson song while playing the keytar and an accordian at the same time.

I'm going to document, as best I can, my grind as a musician. I will blog about it, I will write about, I will laugh and probably (fake) cry about it. You will see me perform new songs when I write them, and I will inevitably cover songs that you may or may not like.

I can't guarantee many things, but I will tell you that some of my videos will probably suck, but some might be worth the 3 minutes you gave up to watch it. All I know is I am committed to doing what I love, and I want to take you along for the ride.
