SHAD: I totally believe the cartels DO NOT want the US to end its war on drugs. If Joe-Six-Pack can get cannabis (or something more "potent") from his neighbor or a guy down the street instead of a dealer in a crackhouse who is just the last stop in a large network--that would kill the cartels. al-Qaeda is making $ off the drug trade in S. America (corrupt and totalitarian governments are also a factor), they don't want it legalized. Portugal legalized it and there was no societal collapse, no massive increase in drug use.

You have literally just admitted that you don't "read" or "research" Austrian works outside of anti-Austrians.

I took the phrase "economic calculation" with it's applied meanings that I've used directly from Human Action. Austrians are well aware of math in economics; i.e. econ calculation.
Austrians are against mathematical structuring in an economy.

SHAD: Your "insightful rebuttals" BG was hilarious. I was rolling on the floor. LOL! Since you seem very Libertarian, I'd wager you agree the "War on Drugs" (I do abhor drugs though) is a complete failure. Look at how that "war" empowers the black market. There's even an emerging black market for cigarettes in NY because of sky-high "sin" taxes. If the federal gov't implemented a "war" on guns (as WHEDON seems to favor) this would empower the black market and hurt law-abiding gunowners like myself.
