Inspired by Ammosmith, I started this channel to show how to make your own ammunition affordably.

I focus on the Pro 1000 progressive press from Lee Precision, since nobody else really was, and there is a need for this. But you'll also find some other related stuff here, like casting your own "boolits" with Lee moulds, or how to get into reloading on the cheap.
About Me:

I am a social liberal from San Francisco, California who believes in our Constitutionally-guaranteed rights--*all* of them-- including those under the Second Amendment.

Why the heck would a "San Francisco liberal" like me be doing this? Because, doggone it, IT'S OUR RIGHT!
Hometown:
San Francisco, California

United States
Interests:
Good music, computers, and preserving our Constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms

Anything that has feeling to it--jazz, classical, Indo-Pakistani, rock-n-roll, you name it, just not that soul-less junk we see nowadays on Top-40.

You are the man! you're videos are not only educational, they are very entertaining. Your sound effects are cool lol. After watching your videos and the other reloading videos, I got close to 100 pounds of lead and started casting then I bought the Pro 1000. I look forward to seeing more of your great work. Thank you

After a two-month hiatus, we've got two new pairs of videos. One is a how-to for the Lee Pro Auto-Disk Powder Measure, and the other is how to adjust dies--both on a single-stage and a Pro 1000.

Looks like these vids are helping some folks, which is exactly my goal. Thanks to Ammosmith and several others for the inspiration for all this. A special shout-out to the fine folks at the CalGuns forum! In light of AB 962, they really *NEED* to start handloading, and ideally casting as well. February 2011 is not very far away....

Hi Cowboy T. I have started ordering the parts i need to reload. Do you think i need to get the LEE factory crimp die? The lee press ordered only came with the 3 factory die. And I remember you saying on one of your video when you seated the 38spec on the 3rd station/die that your going to crimp it a little? Do i need to crimp 45acp or just seat it? I was thinking if i crimp it it will reduce the times i can reload my brass

I took your advice on cleaning the whole shell plate carrier. It worked like magic. You are the smartest liberal in America.

Hi blackzombie,

Thanks for the kind words! I'm not yet set up for semi-auto calibers, since I shoot mostly revolvers, but I did a little 9mm on a friend's Dillon RL550, and it's really the same process for both. Semi-auto cartridges don't even need a crimp.

I suggest first starting with single-stage, so you really nail down your fundamentals. Matter of fact, I may do a short video on that here soon.

Great videos, I've seen all 23 now and I wanted to know if you could go through the entire process of reloading 9mm or .45, I want to get into reloading and you seem to break these videos into fantastic snippets that are easy to digest and are very helpful, Thanks
