An unreleased track by Savage bees from 1986
featuring Paul Research. This band was formed by Scars members Paul Steve and John. Iggy & The Stooges "Lust for life" drum track (not sampled - but on a quarter inch tape loop all around the studio control room) was used here ten years before the movie "Trainspotting" was released. We spent many hours at Warrender Baths, a Victorian public swimming pool in our home town of Edinburgh. I'm sure the water was colder back then. In the 70's BAR - OX, (Oxgangs) YOUNG PUMPHIE REBELS, (Pumpherston) and YCAB (Currie & Balerno) were the names of just a few of the hundreds of teen gangs at large around that time - graffiti slogans scrawled on walls everywhere to mark out their territory.
