What can I say...I am hopelessly dedicated to animals..ALL animals.
I am a Spiritual Eclectic, a Tree Hugging Earth Advocate,and A Carrot Crunching Vegan..I live each day .."Cruelty Free"...refusing to be silent about the horrific crimes our society committs against animals..daily.
I believe in Animal & Human Liberation and strongly oppose the captivity, abuse and exploitation of all creatures..be it for FOOD, CLOTHING, RESEARCH, SPORT,or ENTERTAINMENT.
I think the world needs less WAR & VIOLENCE and more TREES, & EMPTY CAGES.
I think every person who claims to LOVE animals... should watch the movie "EARTHLINGS"....or at least part of it.
Hosted by Joaquin Pheonix..this film touches upon "animal cruelty" on every level.It names the industries, responsible for such atrocities and exposes their many forms of abuse, with actual video footage...Sadly this film is not easy to view. It has not been sugar coated and is highly graphic..(NOT INTENDED FOR YOUNG CHILDREN) Somehow you'll get through it and when its over, most will never be the same again...I know I havnt been .. In this moment,I am a WISER,more INFORMED, HEALTHIER, HAPPIER, AND SO MUCH STRONGER human being, than ever before in my life.
If I had to define my reason for being...I would have to say " ITS FOR THE ANIMALS....The time to educate ones self is now. Ignorance isn't bliss..and what you dont know..REALLY CAN HURT YOU, or someone you love...Dare to know the TRUTH, and burden yourself with these cold,hard facts..because this information, most definately,is being intentionally hidden from the public.The media will never show us the video footage taken at a number of farming establishments,of the torture & horror, in which factory farmed animals must endure..while they await DEATH by slaughter. The Media will never air the BRUTAL seal hunt, or the BOGUS research, cruelty, neglect and abuse,that kill thousands of innocent animals daily...in the name of toothpaste,cosmetics, etc.
The world is need of change, and ultimately...."that change" hinges on our"actions & reactions", and in our ability to truly feel the pain of another..no matter the species.
Practice random acts of kindness...and master the art of "PAYING IT FORWARD"..These gestures have had major spiritual & physical health benefits, on not only the one on the receiving end of this sort of "KINDNESS" but for the one on the giving end as well...It's a great trend to be a part of....Here's to changing the world..one small act of kindness..at a time.
