Then we can all sue everyone who ever does anything wrong by us. How wonderful for the lawyers and legal system. And I reckon I'd come out ahead in the balance between people who cause me problems and those who I cause problems for. Probably.
Then again, perhaps this isn't really a cyclist vs pedestrian vs. car vs truck vs the world issue.
On thing to remember though, is that cyclists and drivers both need to take responsibility for their actions. While it is up to each to remain patient and respectful, cyclists are not operating deadly weapons. Drivers put cyclists at huge risk if they drive recklessly, while cyclists put themselves at risk if they ride recklessly. I am not condoning inconsiderate or illegal maneuvers by cyclists, but a rider will always lose to a driver, regardless of who is at fault. Cyclists to not risk the well-being of a driver if they pass closely while a car is stopped, but when a driver passess aggressively around a rider, it is the rider who suffers. If you commute on a bicycle, you will quickly become aware of this.
There is no such thing as "right of way" as they told me in defensive driving courses.
Go right ahead and do it mate, its unlikely that you'll catch any of the camera users - when you publish camera shots that involve bad riding, the first thing that happens is all the other riders castigate you for it.
matter of fact you'll soon find that you really DON'T want the camera storing any bad driving, especially in the leadup to an accident, so if you do run a camera, you'll probably become a better driver.
A cyclist using it, has to give way at every cross intersection to all traffic, and as a cyclist you have to travel against the traffic flow over driveways - and can easily be bumped into oncoming traffic.. Its so poorly laid out on that particular example that they make cyclists give way to the entrances and exits of at least one private business, which is patently ridiculous for public traveling in the private direction, regardless of mode.
The M7 cycleway is frequently closed/detoured around, and many motorway cycleways are closed when work is done on the adjacent road (ie pretty much all the time).
nice horn by the way mate - your hand is probably better off covering the brake though.
