"What is the reality of a girl making it as a Top Model if they come from a small town?" Avis MacLellan and I sat down for a cup of tea in her lovely home and I was allowed to record the answers to some very tough questions that every young girl in America is asking these days.

In the face of the extremely popular reality show, "America's Next Top Model," featuring Tyra Banks, and all the other "how to make it big, get rich and famous" TV shows...every young lady (and few hot guys) wants to know how they can "make it" in the world of modeling.

I asked Avis, "What is the reality of a girl making it as a Top Model if they come from a small town?" - and this was the answer she gave. Her answers are very poignant, and her conclusion is real. Sure, you can become a Top Model if you live in a small town...or a big city. HOWEVER, you are going to have to learn the business inside and out no matter where you live!

Avis says, "There are some very beautiful girls are considered short. They do not meet the over 6ft tall criteria for becoming a Runway Model. What they must do is figure out "what kind" of model they are...Catalog Model, Editorial Model, etc...and then study very hard to learn the modeling industry inside and out."

I listed this video as a "How To" for lack of a better category. It IS about "how to" make it as a Top Model. I am not a videographer by any means. The Online Design is not looking for Kudos on the film making! Of the utmost importance is the dissemination of current, relevant information right from the source: Avis MacLellan, former Top Runway, Print, Ad, Catalog and High Fashion Model.

Bottom line is: If you want to be a TOP MODEL, you need to ask a Top Model. You need to be trained by a Top Model! You need to hear frank advice from someone who actually knows the modeling industry, not pay thousands of dollars to a cookie cutter so called "modeling/talent agency" that promises you fame in a small town and has no way to deliver that to you at all.
