You can extract the torrent files from the official download and use it with a torrent application, it would be better than their offical torrent application. So run their app once till it fetches the torrent files, then look under "Documents\My Games\FF....\ffxiv-beta\*\meta­­info for the torrents.

did you have any trouble downloading the open beta? i struggled to get past speeds of 10kbps so i gave up on it

Hey, i have a question about the open beta. All you need to do is log into ur square enix account to have a code issued to you right? You don't need to do anything else to have one sent to ur e-mail? Just want to make sure.
