Arnel Vasquez has always had a passion for dance. Home videos provide incriminating evidence of Arnel dancing as a toddler to Michael Jackson and MC Hammer. Ever since, Arnel has slowly developed his passion into an intricate art, honing his skills mostly in hip-hop. First inspired by his older brother, Alex Vasquez, who also is a member of FORMALity, Arnel emulated Alexs moves and eventually learned how to freestyle and choreograph. It was not until Arnels senior year that he began his formal dance training at Temecula Dance Company, where FORMALitys founder, Erik Saradpon honed his skills. After a year of training, not only in hip-hop, but also in jazz, ballet, contemporary, and musical theater, Arnel auditioned for FORMALity. Since then, Arnel has become a force to be reckoned with, expanding his training to LA and eventually signing with DDO Talent Agency! At the age of 20, Arnel is currently working on his bachelors degree at University of California San Diego, while pursing his dance career simultaneously. 2010 promises much for Arnel, as not only will he be teaching his first BZ class, but will be travelling and teaching internationally!
