My name is Mark. I'm from the French Alps, was sent to school and uni in UK and now live in London.
I have a passion for classical music. I can regularly be found reading scores to obscure Donizetti operas and i've recently been studying orchestration.
I play piano, oboe, sing tenor and compose.
My videos were all recorded on the same evening as I had to borrow a camera. They were all single-takes so my apologies for the things that went slightly wrong.
I love both Lieder (I feel that Schubert had a profound effect on my life(!) and on my understanding of harmony) and opera, mainly 19th century French and Italian.
Several of Schubert's Lieder cannot be found on youtube, and I hope to change that over time. I have started by uploading his Schafers Klagelied.
Opera-wise, I lean most towards Verdi, Donizetti, Puccini, Gounod, Bizet, Massenet..
