Serenity Actual Part 3: More full-scene action and background work of Nutnfancy and crew's "Armed Serenity" shoot 2009. Putting it together, ensuring safety, maximum runs for everyone, getting USABLE video and pictures (no time to check if they came out on scene, only afterward), setting up and executing scoring, making sure shooters stay under pressure (and are helped by their safety monitors)...all within just a few hours of daylight (for best filming) is near impossible. But we did it and it turned out pretty good (although I can never get enough video!). Here we show the "Crossroads" 200 yd RunNGun with my run through to demo it. It is a difficult exercise that shows the shooter's ability to remain calm under pressure (some), physical fitness (to a degree!), and marksmanship skills under time constraints. Later, for time and the large group awaiting sequence, we had to pare it down to only the 100 yd RunNGun with the 200 yd plate engagements accomplished separately. Some may roll in and criticize various things like shooter's heavy breathing, shooting stances, and the always-present mistakes (intentionally left in for audience learning). But again this a just a group of dudes practicing and learning their systems and they are representative of ALL shooters, including YOU. I have yet to see any kind of shooter not make big mistakes under a competitive tactical course like this. Armchair elitism doesn't play well in TNP and any critics need to have vids showing their hardcore, under-pressure shooting of this course to have any credibility here...internet babble costs nothing. Lots of learning moments occurred and we had fun in the process. Goals achieved! ///////////////////////// Music by Derek R. Audette - (Socan), CC 2.5

PART 1 OF ?: Building a lean-to wilderness shelter in snowy and cold conditions...good times! There are numerous shelters that you can construct in these northern, mountainous woods and this is one of them. It
does require a fair amount of time, calories, and preferably some tools to get the job done. But the task itself is relatively simple. Many topics are discussed including the survival mindset and training, site selection,
construction techniques, knife and tool usage (and breakage!), clothing and glove considerations, flashlights (Fenix L2D), common sense environmentalism, food procurement, etc. Conditions were adequately
challenging with temperatures eventually dropping to 18F and snow continually falling. Allie the Mountain was the faithful companion on the outing.

PART 2 of 2: A scenic wilderness video by Nutnfancy showing how to construct an effective deer snare with a KaBar Marine Combat knife and Leatherman Charge Ti. Unlike some survival shows that pretty much promote non-preparedness, Nutnfancy always recommends going into the woods prepared with sensible emergency tools. Using such tools, the video shows step-by-step design of the this on-site design, safety and game behavioral considerations, common sense philosophy, and construction elements . Two nails are used to save time but they could be substituted by fabricated sticks. Also I would actually reinforce that sapling for further spring strength should I have needed such a trap. Both the Charge Ti and the KaBar Utility knife performed admirably. Please note also, all components were fully dismantled after the shoot and no game was ever taken. Faithful companion, Allie the Mountain Dog, is nearby on this excursion to the stunningly beautiful Rocky Mountain area, wooded with Quaking Aspens in the fall colors. Finally, some footage of this scenery and the hike in is included also to give you a little sense of the adventure that day.
SERIOUSLY: Please do not attempt to make and set this trap unless your life depends on procuring wild game. It is cruel, usually illegal, and inhumane to construct and use such a trap when it isnt absolutely needed. Nutnfancy supports the harvesting and use of game animals when necessary but is adamantly opposed to cruelty, poaching, or gratuitous killing. These instructions are intended to arm you with confidence and knowledge to get both large and small game in dire circumstances. They are NOT intended for sport, fun, showing off, curing boredom, for acting cool, or other Tom Foolery. Also any comments from perhaps the less mature few like Hey why didnt you have your dog test it! will not be entertained and will result the individual being blocked from the Nutnfancy Project. Thanks for understanding.
