madtal, I have to say that I like and respect your comments on my Lincoln video. Of all the comments I have read, yours seems to be the most rational, concrete, and accurate. I can't say I like all the disputing comments that keeps piling up because I don't, but we all have freedom of speech and so I choose not to delete any of the negative comments. Anyways, I wanted to personally write (or in this case type) this comment to let you know that I respect your wisdom and knowledge in your comments. Keep up the good work.

I don't even know how to send a video, and if you're referring to the one I think you're referring to, you should know it's total bullshit. If you want to learn what the civil war was about, go look at the speeches and documents from BEFORE the war, not the Lost Cause claptrap southern politicians spouted after it. (Just a hint: They spent most of their time talking about slavery.)

Thank you very much for the video you send me. I can see now that slavery wasn't the cause of that war. It was all lie. I'm from Argentina. In my country we had a civil war too. And the winners (buenos aires) tried to lie whenever they could. So actually the winners fought in name of justice and freedom, just like in the united states. I'm glad to see that in other country happens the same problem with the civil wars.

please dont think that im for slavery. Its just writen in history of the punitive taxes impossed on the south its a long story. The tarrifs alone were unconstitutional. only 4-5 percent of the south were able to afford slaves. but the other 95 percent took up arms. WHy? to hold on to the slaves they did not own. they are trying to change history with education in schools making it a slavery issue when no laws against slavery were even passed before the war. and during the war (because the north was losing ) they only freed them in the rebel states giving them ability to still have slaves if they returned to the union by january 1863.
