Hey justnaesman, just commenting on the reply you left me about the whole star wars thingy. I don't take offense to your reply, so don't worry, I won't go and threaten you or tell you to "meet me".

Of course I'm a nerd! I didn't refer to Star Wars fans as nerds because I was trying to offend them. I called them nerds because that's what they are, and they're proud of being called nerds/geeks, just as I am......But I don't go and shove it in people's faces to the point of annoying the crap outta them. Self-expression is always a good thing, but over-expression is another story.

Just because "you" can listen-to, understand and say you agree with other peoples point-of-view, doesn't automatically mean I was stereotyping. I will agree that I was generalizing about Theist. Not all spiritual people reject a valid argument, but how long did it take the Catholic Church to accept that the Earth was not the center of the solar system? At least the Catholic Church now accepts evolution, yet many American Christians have yet too. My point is, if I had said all Religious people reject valid arguments regardless of soundness, then yes I would agree that I was stereotyping. But, the One God Generation of recent years has totally rejected logic for an emotional attachment.

I am a theist. Despite that fact, I find bits of information that are presented to me fascinating, and also very informative. I get to learn about ways other people think. Doing this has always interested me. You don't hear me disagreeing with you. You can point out plenty of facts, and I can understand and agree.

Just because I choose to believe in something on the side, doesn't necessarily make me automatically reject information provided that seems to be plausible. Anything is a possibility.

This is why you are stereotyping. ^^^^
