Idiots of Ants are Andrew Spiers, Elliott Tiney, Benjamin Wilson and James Wrighton. They have written and performed their unique blend of fast paced sketch comedy all over the world since 2007.
In that short time they have performed four sell-out Edinburgh festival shows and completed a successful UK tour which culminated in a West End run. The Ant's have been featured on BBC1, BBC 2, E4 and Radio 4, with their skits also making an appearance on The Today Show in the US and ChannelPlus in France. It is no surprise that the Independent newspaper declared them to be one of the top five sketch groups in the UK.
In 2009 they were one of the only sketch groups to perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. They performed alongside comedy legends such as Bill Cosby, Jimmy Carr, Ross Noble and John Cleese (who also appeared in one of their sketches).
Idiots of Ants have also attracted a massive internet following with their Facebook, Twitter and YouTube groups supporting thousands of fans. Their "Facebook in real life" and "Wii Breakfast" sketches are becoming two of the most viewed YouTube UK comedy clips of all time. In 2009 they filmed a series of successful interviews with John Cleese, Jimmy Carr and Greg Proops.
Their success is not limited to the circuit and on-line; Idiots of Ants have also had their sketches played at the G8 Summit, filmed a short film to help Friends of The Earth, written comedy scripts for Sienna Miller, Tony Blair and Amitabh Bachan.
The 'Idiots' also work as actors, having appeared in numerous commercials, films and television shows. They also run the new writing comedy night 'Crash Test Comedy' once a month at the Pleasance Theatre, Islington, where brand new sketch, character and stand up is showcased.
