Hey my mom and step dad got married in gold point and it is a tradtiton that we go there every year now for thier anniversary. They have now been married for 10 years! Herb is awesome and Lida is the best. If you knew who pat was Herbs friend I hate to tell you but he passed away just a few weeks ago. He will be missed. Herb and Lida are doing great. Keep up the good work.

I was just out in Nevada this past week. Found some mines. I wanted to explore the mines at Lida but it was getting dark. I almost went to Gold Point, too, but didn't. I read online that some old guy (he refers to himself as the Sherriff) lives there in Gold Point with a couple other people. He bought the town years ago with some gambling winnings and has restored most of it. Is this really the case? Was anybody there when you were there? Also, has he pretty much sealed off all the abandoned mines in the area? From your video, the vertical shaft was sealed.
