However, because you are so young a word of explanation may help you.
I served alongside US troops in an alliance that forms the basis of the "special relationship" our two countries share. After 9/11 the USA again asked for and received, support from the UK for it's unpopular war on terror. Now my sons (older than you) in the armed forces continue serve that special relationship as I did. Like it or not our countries are inextricably linked both historically and for the foreseeable future. My family and I have earned the right to not only express an opinion about US politics but also to have that opinion acknowledged. The above applies to US religious bullshit too.
