It's not about the guns, it's about freedom!!!
Nothing is worse than being asked, why do you need a gun. In the U.S., freedom allows me to have something without a need. What if you were asked why you need a car that goes over 55? Lets question everything you have that is not essential, do you really want to go down this road?
It's also about defending yourself and your family, police enforce the law and are not obligated to protect. Even the best police are minutes away when seconds count.
I enjoy learning the history of firearms and ammunition. I enjoy learning and understanding the different mechanical workings of firearms.
Finally, shooting and hitting the bullseye with different firearms at longer ranges is a great feeling of accomplishment.
