@hellotommy"I do understand that every site on YT you comment on blocks anybody that disagrees with Zeros policies. I thought you might not be aware of it."

Huh?
Who's zero? And if the sites I comment on YT are blocking anyone who disagrees with zero and I guess you also mean me, then how is you guys keep on commenting?
I certainly haven't been blocking you even though I could. You on the other hand, deleted the links showing that CRA loans were less likely to be sub prime. So maybe you should keep your accusing others of censorship to a minimum.
So do you have anything that is supported by reality or should I presume you will just keep on ranting ad nauseum?

@hellotommy"...That is why progressive policies from 1977 "evolve -- not revolution but evolution of racist Marxist policy. In 1977 banking was heavily regulated. CRA required banks to report compliance. Clinton changed that and Frank and Dodd added to it now they are covering it up. You should get educated your beginning to waste my time."
Your making no sense. Less regulation means "marxist? Especially when deregulation has always been a conservative cause. And how it that the GOP keeps disapearing during your scenarios? Even if we take what you say as true then that makes it even less likely that the CRA was behind the housing bubble, much less "progressive policies"
And you still have not accounted for the fact that banks that did CRA loans were less likely to do sub prime loans.
When you talk about wasting time and ignorance, I think your'e projecting.

Clinton enforced "The fair housing laws" Like our government should enforce immigration laws currently. Clinton caused the great housing boom of the 90s. It was touted as a great success for Bill Clinton (black and Hispanic disproportionally buying 1st time homes over whites. It must have been a great success because he is giving his daughter a 5 mill. Dollar wedding and half the country is out-of-work unless you work for O. That is why progressive policies from 1977 "evolve -- not revolution but evolution of racist Marxist policy. In 1977 banking was heavily regulated. CRA required banks to report compliance. Not sure why the link isnt' working for you so I will try again:
http://www.reuters.com/article /pressRelease/idUS135259+07-Ja n-2008+BW20080107
and
http://www.traigerlaw.com/publ ications/traiger_hinckley_llp_ cra_foreclosure_study_1-7-08.p df
Or google Traiger & Hinckley LLP and Community Reinvestment Act
So again you have a problem. IF CRA is to blame, then why were CRA loans less likely to be the kind of sub prime loans that caused the problem?
booley (2 months ago)
@hellotommyI should also point out the timing.

In short, the CRA was enacted in 1977. But the housing bubble didn't' begin to show until 2005. That's a long time to start having that kind of effect.

The only change to the CRA at that time (2005) actually weakened the requirements banks and thrifts had to do get a good CRA rating.

However, Glass Steagal was repealed in 1999, Before that happened sub prime loans made up about 5% of all loans. by 2008 they made up 30%

So maybe the financial crisis wasn't caused by making sure that banks didn't leech away money from the communities they were in. Maybe it was caused by greedy people who wanted to make even more money and didnt' think through the consequences of their actions. And inevitably the whole scheme blew up in their faces.

@hellotommy Dude, you don't even seem to understand what the CRA is. For one, you are confusing it with redlining. For another, the CRA doesn't cover independent mortgage companies and big banks that didn't have branches in the community. Banks doing the CRA loans were less likely to make the risky loans and charge the super high interest rates.
I know you want to believe that Obama and acorn are some hive of evil masterminds. I am sure you also need to believe that somehow helping people actually harms the country.
But that don't make it true.
