You did not address my point. If most conservative Christian republicans are for small government and freedom, how come when it comes to god they want BIG god who controls everything in their lives? This inner conflict is what makes republicans such cunning creatures. You heard the phrase, "You can't have your cake and eat it too." Either you believe in an all powerful god/dictator or you have free will. You can choose only one because contradictions do not exist.

Well If an imaginary concept helps you graduate college, I think you should hold on to it. If this concept of god acts as a beacon of hope for you, there is no problem. I'm just pointing out, no one can give a person "free will." The act of having the position to "give" free will on the part of god doesn't make it "free will" anymore for human beings. God represents everything that conservatives and the religious hate about big government in the U.S: Eternal surveillance and thought crime are attributes of big government and sadly god too.

Well it's up to you. I'm just pointing out that an all powerful god cannot give you liberty, if you are a libertarian. Just think about the two contradictory concepts. An all powerful god has to know and plan everything, making liberty but an illusion. How can you have a foundation based on two opposite morals? Either you are for liberty or you are for an all powerful god that plans and designs everything, leaving no room for free will.
