Watch these videos to learn how to view, print and share Zap Business Intelligence resources, such as reports, charts and KPIs.
This course is designed for consumer users of Zap Business Intelligence and does not cover the creation of resources.
The videos use Zap Business Intelligence 2011, which looks somewhat different to the current 2012 version. However, the operations demonstrated in the videos work almost the same for the two versions.
For optimum viewing, we recommend you switch to full screen view and 720p resolution. To do this, click the Quality button (it looks like a cog and is the fourth button from the right at the bottom-right of the video screen) and select 720p HD from the menu. Then click the full screen button (the rightmost button at the bottom of the video screen).
This collection of videos demonstrates how to use some of the built-in functions in Zap Business Intelligence to add power to your analysis reports. These videos will later form part of a comprehensive course on how to create resources in Zap Business.
To learn about Zap Functions from the beginning, we recommend you start by watching Video F1 -- Function Starting Analysis first, then watch other videos in the F series.
A separate series of videos, P1, P2 and P3, shows how to create a Profit and Loss report using a general ledger. The demonstration uses a number of features of Zap Business Intelligence including custom formulas, cell formatting, slicers and conditional formatting. Although the demonstration uses a cube based on an NAV source database, the principles are applicable to AX and CRM-based cubes.

This playlist contains videos explaining the process of claims and forms-based authentication. In addition to Windows-integrated authentication using Active Directory, Zap Business Intelligence supports forms-based and claims-based authentication.
Claims-based authentication provides support for federated authentication services such as Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). In practical terms, claims-based authentication may be used when an instance of Zap Business Intelligence is installed in a different domain from the users' domain (for example, on a cloud-based server) to allow users to use their local domain credentials when logging on to Zap Business Intelligence.
Claims-based authentication is explained over three videos totalling 60 minutes. The three videos should be watched in order.
Forms-based authentication allows Zap Business Intelligence to use ASP.NET forms authentication with a custom data source provider to authenticate users. All ASP.NET-supported provider types can be used (including SQL Server, ODBC, and MySQL).
Forms authentication is covered in one 15 minute video.
We unite data from many systems to present the big picture for understanding and planning performance. Zap offers complete, affordable solutions that are easy to use, scalable, and run on the Microsoft® platform.
