Capitalism will fall!
About Me:
Ever since the Democratic Party's birth, it has been evolving with the country and still promotes traditional, American values.
I'm a Democrat because:
· I believe in smaller government, not just old Reagan rhetoric that the Republicans hide behind
· I believe in legal marriage to heterosexual and homosexual couples, as well as parenting rights. Marriage is sacred because it is inspired by love, not by gender.
· I believe in improving health care, as well as reproductive health rights.
· I believe in legalizing drugs for recreational use.
· I believe in giving people the tools to succeed in a capitalistic economy.
· I believe in freedom of speech.
- I support amending the Equal Rights Amendment to the US Constitution
· I believe we can preserve the Second Amendment, while not putting guns in the hands of criminals or by allowing the public sale of guns that are meant for nothing but mass killings.
· I believe in ending the USA PATRIOT ACT that was developed through dishonesty and fear.
- I have proudly taken a stance against the nation of Israel and support cutting military aide for it
As a New Democrat, I believe in "civil rights for all and special privileges for none, in giving poor people a hand up rather than a handout: work is better than welfare," and "that progressive politics requires the advocacy of both new policies and fundamental values, both far-reaching change and social stability." Merit pay, workfare, and school choice are essential, as well as a secure border, when it does not, at the same time, involve racial profiling.
Republicans say that they are against big government telling us what to do, but that the same fat cats in Washington should be telling us who we marry, or what we do with something as important as our bodies. Why should people like George Bush, Mark Sanford, Mark Foley, Larry Craig, or John Ensign be setting our morals for us, when they can't even follow their own? Why do they say we spend too much money, when they spend our money on sending our men and women into harm's way, instead of putting it towards improving the quality of life? Why is it more important to criminalize than to rehabilitate? Republicans believe in smaller government, but only if it works for them.

10-STEP GUIDE ON HOW TO FIX THE ECONOMY AND LOWER GOVERNMENT AT THE SAME TIME (it CAN be done)
1. De-fund and pull out of the Afghan War and Iraq War.
2. De-fund all aspects of the Drug War. Legalize drugs for recreational use, and place a tax on it. Use the tax money toward the national debt. Release all who have been imprisoned for, not murders or rapes, but possession. The vast reduction in prisoners will mean a reduction in prison centers overall, and cut the deficit. Unfortunately, the only jobs I've seen Republicans create are the ones on the black market.
3. Continue to support the Recovery Act, but put all unspent stimulus funds toward paying off the national debt.
4. Invest more money in the people, and in education. Smarter workers will mean a better economy. And the only war America should be fighting right now is the War on Poverty.
5. Promote Lyndon Johnson's idea of a Great Society (see step 5).
6. Audit the Federal Reserve. Place a system of checks and balances on the bank, and require officials to be elected by the people. Make the FED more transparent. Give more of its power to Congress.
7. National health care. Support Alan Grayson's public option bill, HR 4789, which would reduce health care costs.
8. Progressive taxation. It isn't that we're out to raise taxes, it's just that we want to give tax cuts to just 98% of the population. ;-)
Cut the Estate Tax to 0 for people making under $250,000, cut the Payroll Tax and raise the Income Tax on big businesses.
9. Renegotiate trade policies with China and Mexico
10. Reform the housing market

PLUS COLLECTIVE BARGAINING IS NOT A RIGHT BUT A PRIVILEDEGE WHICH I HAVE TO PAY FOR
GOD BLESS
FATIMA
Okay, so it appears that we've reached a conclusion: both sides have crap to throw at the other. I believe we have learned something new today, 'ole Dusty.
Oh, just look around you. Go on RedState to see the stuff they said about Pelosi before the elections. Look around YouTube. Search "boehner hits pelosi". You sure as hell know the kinds of stuff that were said.
Exactly, but people still credit him anyway because the end result of the Civil War was the end to slavery.
@Dustin
Oh, not much. They just called her stuff like bitch, cunt, whore, dunce, idiot, moron, niggerlover, witch, made jokes about her botox treatments, made jokes about killing her with a gavel, etc. Trust me, Pelosi got her treatment.
