@MultiOKC : so u want us to give money through paypal to a f1 "team"?? give me your dealer's address please

This is pretty disheartening news for all North American open wheel racing fans. We were all really pulling for USF1.

Chad Hurley is just a quitter. He should have realized going in that this was a long and expensive project. I am disappointed with his lack of vision. The upside to completing the project would have been very good for his reputation, now this act ruins it instead. I am not giving up hope for USF1, somebody with courage and commitment will come through. This is an ideal medium for advertising and having fun. Sure it is costly, but hey, that's life. Send your support to them via PayPal!

@Virgo, yes, fair enough. I actually think Peter Windsor is a good guy, and he probably just got in over his head with this thing. I'm sure he's more disappointed and hurt than any of us could ever be, and I feel bad for him; at least he had the guts to give it a go.

@phil, you may be a little behind the times, as the "naysayers" are simply speaking the truth at this point, at least as regards the situation. If you haven't been reading the news, just do a Google search for it. It's OVER. USF1 is finished. Maybe we'll hear something from USF1 (what's left of them), maybe we won't. I'd still love to see an American F1 team, but it now seems 99.9% certain that's not going to happen this year...

Please let us know if you get to Crash Test, even if the results are not good. A test is better than no test. Maybe you will have to run a Dallara this year, and then your own car in 2011, or later in this season, OR you could maybe run a Dallara AND the Type1? Please say something quick! All these naysayers are making me sick. (say high to Bernie for us ;}

No flame intended.. nothing implicated here... just an emphatic rejection of the ill will aimed at USF1. ( no i'm not an employee) Disappointment is mutual and yes human... well said.
But the fact as stated in the New York Times today is that " USF1 had serious financial troubles.."
So, if they'd been flush with corporate sponsorship funds ( like the other "new" F1 teams of Lotus & Virgin), surely Windosr & Co. would have made us proud... the assertion that he/they are "A**holes" or somehow disingenuous is my objection... Peace. Go Seb!
