If what prevents you from killing, raping and stealing is the belief in god, then your morality is based more on authority than it is on empathy and critical thinking. If the bribe of heaven and blackmail of hell is what prevents you from committing atrocities, who is the better person:
Person A: Is good because of the bribe of heaven and blackmail of hell
Person B: Is good because he/she understands that the actions will inflict pain and suffering on others and in betterment of society refrains from such actions

That aside, why kill non-believers when you can charge them extra taxes simply for being non-believers- money for your cause eh? Implement laws that prohibit non-Muslim men from marrying Muslim women, allow Muslim men to marry non-believing women as long as the children are forced to be Muslim, and persecute those who leave the religion?
