Nightmare On Elm Street Theme on Guitar

May 7th (UK) sees the return of one of the best loved horror series of all time and I have made this video to coincide with the recent american rel...   more May 7th (UK) sees the return of one of the best loved horror series of all time and I have made this video to coincide with the recent american release of the modern version of A Nightmare on Elm Street.

(This theme was used in the opening credits of the original movie, albeit with added sound effects and different instruments; but if i was on a budget i might be able to recreate it perfectly. however this is my best interpretation of it with the equipment i have available to me and I sincerely hope you like it!)

Now a few words from me... (to bring a bit of nostalgia to the dedicated fans, like me, or to introduce the latest generation to a fantastically thought of horror series!)

First introduced in 1984, Freddy Krueger is accused of misdoings with children and is burnt to death in his boiler room by angry parents of the springwood neighbourhood.

But Freddy's death was only the beginning of the nightmare, in which Freddy soon started terrorising teenagers in their dreams.

No-one would believe the teenagers saying that this awfully burnt man wearing a hat and a charred red-green sweater was haunting them in their dreams and slowly killing all their friends one by one, as they had soon realised, if you die in the dream world, you die for real...

Freddy slashed his way through a series of seven films, returning in the spin-off with Jason Vorhees (of Friday 13th) in Freddy Vs Jason back in 2003.

Now he's back and the story is being retold from the very beginning. Is there really any way to kill the boogey man that is Freddy Krueger....?   less
