My tastes are often too light for typical fans of metal and such, and too dark for typical fans of pop. They represent the extremely rare bridge between polar opposites, which is a very foreign idea to most people who are familiar with only the tastes of primarily one thing. A post-genre state is one with no restrictions against trying new things with music, and therefore it has the most potential to advance, grow, and enlighten.
