My biggest problem with Hugo & Zangief is that knocking them down rewards THEM. They get knocked down & get to roll back up to you for free.

This is the same thing I'm thinking. Japanese players have said several times that they prefer 2/3 rather than 1 & done yet tournaments are still run that way. Makes no sense to me. Maybe it has to do with how grass roots America's tournaments are.
