To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
About Me:

To Write Love on Her Arms is a work in progress. This began with one broken girl, one painful night; addiction, depression, cutting. This is a glimpse at the five days that followed, a decision to love and to begin telling her true story. To Write Love on Her Arms is becoming something bigger, something hopeful. It's the realization of what life can be when we commit to meeting a need. A friend of mine told me there's no such thing as suicide prevention. This is an attempt to prove him wrong, to say that love can change a life. We can hold back the darkness. Rescue is possible. More soon to come. Join us as we continue to write this story, and as we begin to offer hope to the many hopeless who walk these dark roads. A Jimmy Eat World lyric has been stuck in my head today, "Believe your voice can mean something."

i think what you guys are doing is AMAZING.
i have told all of my friends about you and they are all supporters.
i know the feeling of being broken, beyond return.
but, through the help of friends im starting to came back to being me.
i still have those days when i think the world is coming to an end, and sometimes i wish they would.
but, my friends and family are who gets me through.
many of my friends are beginning to disown me, in a way, because i'v recently come out as being atheist.
i just hope that everyone who needs helpgets the help they need.

it strengthens me to see the depressed find a way other than self-mutilation or any other ways of escape. it means that my problems are an ant compared to theirs...

thank you; God bless.

Wow. Having been in depression as well as a cutter, pill popper, drinker...this video spoken to me. I don't do those things anymore, and I am no depressed. And you're right: the answer IS love. Without it, I fall straight back into depression. The first time I found love, I was out of depression for the entire one and half year span. When it was over, I was depressed again. But I have found love again, and once again, I am happy. It's like I am invincible, and no trouble or evil in the world can touch me. With love I can weather all things.
