Tata Amita Marie Young was born in Thailand on December 14, 1980, the only daughter of an American father and a Thai mother. In a childhood filled with singing and dancing, Tata beat 5,300 other children to be crowned winner of the International Division of the nationwide Thailand Junior Singing Contest at the tender age of 11. The victory brought her an entertainers contract with Yamaha Music and subsequently a recording contract with Grammy Entertainment, Thailands largest entertainment conglomerate when she was 14. Within a year, Tata recorded and released her debut Thai album Amita Tata Young which sold more than 1 million units in 5 months. At only 15, Tata became Thailands biggest pop sensation, a reputation which was cemented when sales of her follow up album Tata 1,000,000 Copies Celebration also hit the million-unit mark.

Tatas popularity grew further when she was chosen to represent Thailand on the Australian Television program World Telly Broadcast featuring Youth talents in Asia. In April 1996, Tata held her Tata Live in Hollywood Concert at the renowned Hollywood Palladium, a rare event for an Asian artist, and one which received rave reviews. Tata was selected by the Chinese government to represent Thailand at the Handover Concert for the Hong Kong Handover Ceremony held on July 5, 1997 along with such international acts as Lisa Stansfield and Wet Wet Wet. That same year, Tata became the first entertainer in 14 years to receive the coveted Golden Pikkanes God Award presented by the Musical Artist Association of Thailand under the patronage of His Majesty the King of Thailand.

Trendy, beautiful and vivacious, Tata has also developed a highly successful modeling and acting career. Making her stunning film debut in 1997 in the youth drama The Red Bike Story, Tata not only won the Best Female Actress Award (Thailand) at the 4th Annual Blockbuster Entertainment Awards but also helped the movie break all time attendance records in the film history of Thailand. Tata followed up the huge success with two other celluloid hits O-Negative and Plai Tien.

Tata has modeled and endorsed top-notch brands such as Fuji Film and Yamaha motorcycles, Colgate and Pepsi and has been the cover girl many times over on many international media and magazines around the region. In 1997, Elle Magazine named her one of Thailands 10 Most Influential People and Asiaweek selected Tata as one of 25 most influential trendsetters in Asia in 1998. In 2001, Tata was featured on the cover of Time Magazine in their study of successful Eurasians in Asia.

Now comes Ready For Love is Tata Young's 3rd English album which is a perfect blend of R 'n B and Pop Dance. This record uniquely represents Asian music style that goes along well with European groove and that makes the album more international. As for Tata, she did a lot of improvements in her vocal. Almost every track is a song that emphasizes on her vocal power and also, there're lots of tone and range improvements.
