Sidis are a little known ethnic group in India, who trace their roots to Africa. Brought as slaves, soldiers, and workers to India 800-900 years ago, they brought African traditions that have been passed down for generations. Sidis still preserve much of their physical African features, their cultural practice; their music and dance forms. This clip is of 2 young frame drummers. Excerpt from a film by Salil Sachdev.
