Hi, my name is Dennis Kuo, and I am a medical student as well as a musician.

Thus, if anybody could appreciate some good quality study music, TRUST ME it would definitely be me. This is why I created the Study Music Project..because I know the frustration students get when they just can't properly focus.

Thus, my mission here is to integrate my musical skills with my academic mindset to help students of all levels and ages to overcome their own mental distractions, increase their focus, and study better.

FAQ:
Q: Do you have sheet music for some of these pieces?
A: Medical school requires some pretty heavy duty work and time commitment. Though I am really happy and flattered that some of you show interest in wanting to learn some of the music I've composed here at Study Music Project, I really have no intention of writing out sheet music and scores due to my own busy schedule. Sometimes, it's difficult enough to set some time apart for composing and recording, and thus any extra free time I have, I would really like to dedicate it to creating new Study Music Projects, which is where my passion lies. I'm really sorry for that, and I hope you all understand.

Q: What was your inspiration to create the Study Music Project?
A: I have thought about study music for a REALLY long time (since my days in high school), but my MAJOR inspiration to officially put something together came directly from the death of a very talented artist Nujabes (Seba Jun). Throughout my undergraduate studies, his music helped me get through my Organic Chemistry, Life sciences, and Physics classes.

When I heard of his tragic death, one of the thoughts that occurred in my mind was that my own source of study music goes down to the grave along with him. But at that point, I realized that I had enough music skills and training to continue creating study music of a similar kind. Furthermore, I had so many theories about music and performance, and really wanted to try them out. As you can see: Nujabes died in 2/26/10.Not long after, Study Music Project was born in 3/31/10.
