you know when you protest about canadian oil and saying that they should switch to renewable maby you should look at yourselves and ask yourself s to switch. But no it would cost america to much money. now i hate oil and pollution but another question were are you going to get your oil? uh i don't know. Its unfortinet but the oil companies run the world. Some companies are prepared to cut down the amazon. but i gess the real question is if usa id like to know if you want the oil pipe or not.

Thanks to everyone who went to Washington on our behalf. Now we need to make a lot more noise, and force this issue to the forefront even as the *US MEDIA* is doing everything in their power to undermine the will of the people.

This is so great! So proud of you guys. Seems striking that there are so many European-American (white people) ONLY. What is that about? Hopefully you also organized in communities of color, But I guess its "white people" who caused the problem, so maybe it makes sense for white people to work to fight and stop it.

I drive a car, and I support the development of the Keystone XL pipeline. For those of you who also drive a car but are against this, well -- consider the nature of hypocrisy and the fact that the gasoline you pump undoubtedly comes from a country which treats women like dirt. It would be nice to get your gas from a country that treats women well, wouldn't it?

President Obama is oh so balmy. Tar pit extraction for oil is the most toxic way of using oil and the carbon footprint and a 1700 mile oil pipeline to Mexico for distilling proves an insanity beyond cure. Os Jack Herer said: The USA has a 'land bank' of unused land which could provide for USA energy needs. Wake up Obama and create the hemp industry for your people. A whole new hemp ethanol industry creating employment and making the USA once again the home of the free. Free from the shackles of oil slavery.

Like I said you need to be able to transport goods and services around the country.Electric vehicles are not an option for any kind of long distance. Not to mention , how do you think electricity is generated. And don't say solar or wind....they account for a very minute amount...you and I both know that. And the carbon credit thing is nothing but a scam....wealth re-distribution, welfare from corporations, whatever you want to call it. I know I'm not interested in paying for it. You green guys have all the criticism but no viable solutions to offer...just a bunch of catch phrases like "climate change" or "go green" or "organic food"......really, are you going to supply a city the size of Vancouver with some farmers market? Be serious.

Stop buying oil. Use public transport, electric vehicles and organic food.

I'm from Canada, so i just want to say i'm NOT down with the arrogance & myopic opinions of the commenter below, & to offer my total support for the Tar Sands Actions... Here in Vancouver (nearby Burnaby actually) the Wilderness Committee staged a rally this past Saturday outside the local oil refinery (also an outlet of the Albertan tar sands) to support the DC protests, & to protest increasing tanker traffic off our coast. Clearly, ordinary citizens -wherever they are- need to band together to protect our environment with strong actions like these, to wake people up and get governments to listen... Clean energy is not only possible & practical, it's the only solution that makes sense for a healthy, sustainable future...

And by the way, if you want that pipeline stopped in the US that's one thing. But when you think you can come to Canada and tell us what to do with the oilsands project itself, well, that's completely another. I hate to break it to you but nobody in this country gives a rats ass what you think about anything. This is just another shining example of America tyring to bully another country into doing what they want. Personally I can't stand the arrogance that spews out of you people.
