this is a song i wrote called damndog. it is an itunes bonus track with the new album. it is real sad.
i wrote it about a friend who never had a father. his dad left him when he was 6. this song uses the metaphor of an owner and dog.
it describes my friends journey of losing a father, but discovering a heavenly father.

Hey, regarding the comment you posted on my video, there are a lot of songs like that out there, just not in metalcore. Look for rock bands like Staind, Sick Puppies, The Classic Crime for non-metal. For metal, I'd say there are only a few songs, here and there from different bands. Check out "Hollow Crown" by Architects, that's a slow one.
