It's much more than just the "sine die" adjournment without quorum. Article.I. legislative business was conducted during an Article.II. executive business special session without the House of Rep. convened.  Essentially congressional business requiring both houses to be in session was conducted by the Senate ... and the Constitution is more than clear in Article.I. Section.1. "...all enumerated powers shall be vested in a Congress, which shall consist of a House of Representatives and a Senate."
Therein is "The Truth" about how the federal gov't began the process of removing the Constitution's framework (restrictions upon them).
When the Congressional Legislative Body convened on July 4, 1861 ... it was unlawful in due process of the Constitution. Our Constitution was kicked to the curb and the Republic has not been under Constitutional Rule since.
