In June 2006 Lawrence Ross started his podcast career under the name Phfreak (Phil Hendry Freak) with the Phfreak show interviewing members of the Phil Hendry fan forum SweetFeatheryJesus.com. It was a good first attempt but died off after a year. In 2008 Lawrence teamed up with a close friend Thomas Lakeman to try to fire backup up the Phfreak show but it couldn't get off the ground.

In December 2009 they teamed up once again to form LRWS (Lawrence Ross Waterhead Show) uploading episodes on Thomas' YouTube channel Sandman827. Thomas using a nickname that acquired while he was a member of SFJ.com once people on the site found out that he had http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrocephalus In June 2010 a long time frined of the two Matthew Davis was brought on the show as Matt the Intern and later just went by Matthew. Lawrence and Matthew have both had radio experience; Lawrence interning on the Bubba the Love Sponge show as Blind Lawrence writing the show recaps while Matthew was known as Blind as a Bat Matt interning for the MJ morning show.
