Thanks for posting these videos, they were very enlightning and informative. Luckily the ignorant comments from a select few people did not ruin the film or my perception of people :-)

Thanks very much (very) for posting this video. I am a 42 year old man from Denmark and went to Detroit in may this year. The only thing I knew about this city (besides the big three auto makers) was that Suzy Quatro was born there, and that the film "Robo Cop" was taped there. What I saw in the centre was a clean, silent city with beautifull old buildings. I also noticed the street lights which looked like art.
I visited Hard Rock Cafe and some bars where I spoke with a lot of people.
Now, when watching your video I get knowledge about what Detroit was made of and why it has become like this. I think I will go there once again next year!

it is nice to see an indepth look at the city, with people from the city. Through the devestation there is still a since of pride in this videos, a since for what it means to say your from Detroit. The city inspired me to study urban planning, and to do what I can to help lead a world through a less painful transition to the post industrial world. A beautiful movie, something you cant fully understand if you are not from Michigan (seeing the same devestation in Flint, Saginaw, and to a much lesser extent Lansing). I am tired of out of towners coming in and bashing the city with some clips, making their money on are misery, and leaving, what right do they have? it`s good to see someone provide the facts in a way that makes you want to help, and not run away. Thank you x1,000,000.

Awsome Job Rob, I am from Detroit and I love Detroit. I left about 5 years ago to go see how the rest of the world lives and I truly not that immpressed, For all of its faults Detroit has one unmistakable quality and that is the realism, its to be something your not in city that has been torn down too her bare nature, there is nowhere to hide in Detroit. Most of the world dosn't understand the spirit of the of Detroit and most people are affraid of it, but for those of us that hear her calling us home to rebuild her or the people that people that don't even know where Detroit is but they have an unmistakable sence of reunification in their spirits that leads them there, there is a new world waiting for these mavriks, and like Bob Seager said: "maybe next time, we'll get right."

Very powerful! Hit very close to home, being born in Flint. With a few name changes, it could easily be a story of Flint. Thanks for taking the time to post all segments.
