Read & Learn the Truth about the IRAQ War using The "Rationale" behind the policy and "Legal Justifications" for it.
**The information here is an examination of the cold, hard facts provided by history, collected from UN inspection reports, WMD inspectors, and various pre-war quotes from officials outside the Bush Administration. I CHALLENGE ANYONE to prove it wrong**

The issue at hand is VERY COMPLEX, the TRUTH has been sabotaged, but not by the Bush Administration or America's allies!

United States
Occupation:
The UN is simply a confederation. It holds no lawful jurisdiction over sovereign nations. So it was never a requirement for the UN to approve of the war. Bush clearly wanted the blessing of the UN, but it was our country that had just been attacked and had the most to lose. It's laughable to say the world didn't support the war when over 40 countries have deployed troops

Weapons inspector David Kay testified that Iraq "certainly had the intentions at a point to resume their programs." As his successor, Charles Duelfer, later explained, Saddam was purposefully gaming the sanctions system with the intent of restarting his weapons programs when the world looked away.

What are some of the "other things" that made Iraq in "material and unacceptable breach of its international obligations"?

•Iraq agreed to a cease-fire when it surrendered in Desert Storm in 1991. It was in "direct and flagrant violation of the cease-fire."
•Iraq agreed to eliminate its WMD programs in 1991. It was later caught continuing those programs, concealing them and thwarting weapons inspectors to the point of kicking them out of the country.

•Iraq agreed to "end its support for international terrorism" in 1991. It continued to "aid and harbor" international terrorist organizations, including those "that threaten the lives and safety of United States citizens."
•Iraq refused "to release, repatriate, or account for non-Iraqi citizens wrongfully detained by Iraq, including an American serviceman."
•Iraq failed "to return property wrongfully seized by Iraq from Kuwait."
•Iraq fired "on many thousands of occasions on United States and Coalition Armed Forces engaged in enforcing the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council."
•Iraq persisted in violating multiple United Nations resolutions. Congress authorized the President "to use United States Armed Forces pursuant to United Nations Security Council Resolution 678 (1990) in order to achieve implementation of Security Council Resolution 660, 661, 662, 664, 665, 666, 667, 669, 674, and 677."

Iraqi state-controlled newspaper predicted that bin Laden would attack the U.S.

On July 21, 2001 (less than two months prior to 911) this Iraqi state-controlled newspaper predicted that Osama bin Laden would attack the U.S. "with the seriousness of the Bedouin of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House." The same state-approved column also insisted that bin Laden "will strike America on the arm that is already hurting," and that the U.S. "will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs" - an apparent reference to the Sinatra classic, "New York, New York."

Where it Begins:
On August 1, 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait. The following February, a UN coalition was formed and launched Operation Desert Storm to reverse this aggression. Two months later, a truce agreement was signed by Saddam, and sealed in UN Resolutions 660, 678, and 687. This ended the Gulf war, and allowed him to remain in power if he unconditionally accepts and fully complies by these Resolutions. This is very important to understand. By SIGNING the CEASE-FIRE, it WAS SADDAM'S RESPONSIBILITY to unconditionally accecpt and fully comply by the international laws that restricted him. He agreed and signed. Anything other than these conditions would mean he went back on his word, therefore breaking the truce he agreed to live by.

****UnitedNationsSecurityCouncilResolution 687 - April 3, 1991****
•Iraq must "UNCONDITIONALLY ACCEPT" the destruction, removal or rendering harmless "UNDER INTERNATIONAL SUPERVISION" of "ALL CHEMICAL and BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS" and "ALL STOCKS of AGENTS" and "ALL RELATED SUBSYSTEMS and COMPONENTS" and "ALL RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, SUPPORT and MANUFACTURING FACILITIES."
•Iraq must "UNCONDITIONALLY AGREE not to acquire or develop nuclear weapons or nuclear-weapons-usable material" or "ANY RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT or manufacturing facilities."
•Iraq must "UNCONDITIONALLY ACCEPT" the destruction "Under International Supervision" of all "ballistic missiles with a range greater than 150 KM and related major parts and repair and production facilities."
•Iraq must not "use, develop, construct or acquire" any weapons of mass destruction.
•Iraq must not commit or support terrorism, or allow terrorist organizations to operate in Iraq

It is apparent that most anti-war people failed to read the UN's --Unresolved Disarmament Issues. If they had it would be clear the bulk of the intelligence estimates regarding Iraq's WMD programs were taken almost verbatim from the report. The ONLY thing the inspections succeded in doing was continuing to leave Saddam in power and diminishing the power and authority of the UN Resolutions.

**TO UNDERSTAND the ISSUE, YOU MUST CHECK OUT the LINKS on LEFT**

The media reported "no stockpiles" were found in Iraq, but some of David Kay's Findings Not Widely Reported in the Media Follow :: **These findings don't include the captured Iraqi Documents**

•"We have discovered dozens of WMD-related program activities and significant amounts of equipment that Iraq concealed from the U.N. during the inspections that began in late 2002."

•A hidden network of laboratories and safe houses within the Iraqi Intelligence Service that contained equipment subject to U.N. monitoring and suitable to continue chemical and biological weapons research.
ResearchForTruth75 (1 year ago)
•A prison laboratory complex that may have been used for human testing of BW agents and "that Iraqi officials working to prepare the U.N. inspections were explicitly ordered not to declare to the U.N."

•"Reference strains" of a wide variety of biological organisms concealed in a scientist's home, one of which can be used to produce bio-weapons.

•New research on BW-applicable agents, brucella and Congo-Crimean hemorrhagic fever, and continuing work on ricin and aflatoxin that were not declared to the United Nations.

•Continuing covert capability to manufacture fuel propellant useful only for prohibited Scud-variant missiles, a capability that was maintained at least until the end of 2001 and that cooperating Iraqi scientists have said they were told to conceal from the U.N.

•Plans and advanced design work for new long-range missiles with ranges up to at least 1,000km, well beyond the 150km range limit imposed by the U.N.
